Places We Carry, a major collective exhibition featuring 23 artists and over 120 artworks, opened on 6 January 2026 at Etihad Modern Art Gallery in Abu Dhabi. Now on view daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, the show explores themes of memory, landscape, and belonging. A highlight includes a new painting, Forest (After the Rain), by UAE-based Pakistani artist Soraya Sikander, introduced by curator Ghida Ghanem, capturing the fleeting, immersive beauty of the natural world.

Soraya Sikander is a globally acclaimed contemporary painter and the sole Pakistani artist selected for the 10th Beijing International Art Biennale. Celebrated for her pioneering "Calligraphy Landscapes" and organic forms, her work at the Biennale joins a prestigious dialogue of 600 artworks from 118 nations under the theme "Coexistence."
